Joyce A. Heller, age 73, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Dallas Care & Rehabilitation Center in Dallas, WI.
The former Joyce Alden was born to Earl & Helen (Belan) Alden on December 21, 1935 at Phillips, WI. She moved to Menomonie, WI at age 18 and was then employed at Graffs Nursing Home. She was married to Howard J. Heller on October 1, 1955 at Menomonie, WI. They then moved to River Falls residing there until 1977 when they moved to Rice Lake.
Joyce Heller is survived by her husband, Howard Heller of Rice Lake, WI; 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce & Randall Kniess, Connie & Perry Thompson, Laurie Heller and Lois Heller all of Rice Lake, WI; a son, John Heller of Rice Lake, WI; 9 grandchildren, Rachael Olson, Nathaniel Kniess, Charity Quinn, Satech Ladon, Ryan Heller, Maria Thompson, Elizabeth Thompson, Jonathan Heller and Michael Heller; 7 great-grandchildren, Ashley Benavides, Randi Olson, Rosemarie Olson, Benjamin Zinn, Kara Quinn, Sadie Ladon and Sofia Ladon; 2 sisters, Patricia Karpenski of Rockport, TX and Janet Shay of Menomonie, WI; and 4 brothers, Richard Alden of Rockport, TX, Earl Alden Jr. of Texas, William Alden of Florida and Daniel Alden of St. Paul, MN.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the New Life Christian Church in Rice Lake, WI, Pastor Sue Paarni officiating, with interment in the Teagarten Cemetery at Knapp, WI. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 AM Saturday at the Church.
