WINKEL, Dean (October 31, 1956 - December 20, 2009) Dean Winkel, age 53, of Rice Lake, WI, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at his home. He was born on October 31, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI to Lloyd and Myrtle (Einum) Winkel. Dean attended school in Rice Lake and then moved to Florida at the age of 20 and worked as a roofer for over 30 years. He moved back to Rice Lake in 2002. Dean liked to cook, listen to music, write poetry and play the guitar. Dean Winkel is survived by a daughter, Clarissa; his mother, Myrtle Winkel of Rice Lake, WI; a brother and sister-in-law, Doug & Christy Winkel of Rice Lake, WI; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra Winkel and Karen Brown both of Rice Lake and Lynese & Patrick Gulczynski of Barron, WI; and nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Winkel and a niece, Michelle Brown. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Heather Semple officiating.
