BYNG, Jane D.
(June 24, 1931 - January 2, 2010)
Jane D. Byng, age 78, of Rice Lake, WI died Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Just Like Home in Chetek, WI.

The former Jane Donnell was born to Emerson Bradford and Lois (Nichols) Donnell on June 29, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI. They then moved to Racine, WI where she attended elementary school and high school after which she received her higher education at Milwaukee Downer College. She was married to Charles Wodicka in Milwaukee. She then devoted herself to raising their four sons and after they reached their adulthood she apprenticed as a Photographic Art Specialist. She continued that career until she became disabled. During her career she received a number of awards including the National Art Specialist Award and Wisconsin State Life Membership Award as well as the Indianhead Life Membership Award. Jane was married to Virgil Byng on October 17, 1987 in Rice Lake, WI. She was an active member of the Red Hat Club.

Jane Byng is survived by her husband, Virgil Byng of Rice Lake, WI; 4 sons, Brian (Susan) Wodicka, Thomas (Mary Jo) Wodicka, David (Rosie) Wodicka all of Racine, WI and James (Susan) Wodicka of Hartford, WI; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 2 stepdaughters, Michelle (Horst) Wahl of Tallahassee, FL and Lisa Byng of Wauwatosa, WI; 2 step grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Emerson Bradford (Kathleen) Donnell of New Jersey.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the United Presbyterian Church in Rice Lake, WI, Rev. David Butler officiating. Friends may call from 10 - 11 AM Thursday at the Church.
