MANCL, George C.
(February 22, 1952 - January 5, 2010)
George C. Mancl, age 57, of Bloomer, WI formerly of Haugen, WI died Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the Luther Midelfort Chippewa Valley Hospital in Bloomer.

He was born on February 22, 1952 in Rice Lake, WI to Wencl and Josephine (Treml) Mancl. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and Rice Lake High School. George entered the United States Army and served in Korea during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in 1974 and then entered the National Guards and served for 6 years. George was married to Georgine Soldner in 1975 at Haugen. He later married Nancee Schneider on June 23, 2006 at Chippewa Falls, WI. George worked at American Excelsior in Rice Lake and then worked as a truck driver for Broton Concrete for several years. He was also a heavy equipment operator for Earthmovers in Haugen for several years, and then worked for Dresel Construction in Chippewa Falls from 1996 to the present time. George loved to hunt, fish, 4 - wheel and was an outdoorsman who loved racing. His grandkids, great-grandkids, step grandkids were his life and everyone loved Uncle George who was always there.

George Mancl is survived by his wife, Nancee Mancl of Bloomer, WI; a son, LaVerne Mancl of Brill, WI; a daughter, Shawn Cheplick of Spooner, WI; 3 stepsons, Dale (Lynn) Schneider of Colfax, WI, Darrell (Teri) Schneider of Tilden, WI and Anthony (Linda) Schneider of Chippewa Falls, WI; 3 stepdaughters, Rhonda (Bruce) Edington of Eau Claire, WI, Renee (Roger) Rothbauer of Bloomer, WI and Laurie (Duane) Humbert of Bloomer, WI; 20 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; his mother, Josephine Mancl of Haugen, WI; 8 brothers, Wencl Jr (Peggy) Mancl of Rice Lake, WI, Robert (Barbara) Mancl of Haugen, WI, Alfred (Mary) Mancl of Sarona, WI, Bernard (Joan) Mancl of Hastings, MN, John (Jeanne) Mancl of Ham Lake, MN, Joseph Mancl of Prescott, WI, Richard (Cheryl) Mancl of Chetek, WI and David (Linda) Mancl of Shell Lake, WI; 3 sisters, Marlene (John) Moravec of Sarona, WI, Mary (Tom) Biver of Spooner, WI and Patricia (Douglas) Moravec of Cadott, WI; 43 nephews and nieces; 31 step nephews and nieces; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Mancl; his father, Wencl Mancl Sr. and a sister, JoAnn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Haugen, WI, Fr. David Oberts officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at Spooner, WI where Military Rites will be accorded by the Haugen American Legion Post. Friends may call from 3 - 8 PM Sunday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals and for 1 hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
