Vivian V. Trulson, age 87, of Rice Lake, WI died Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Heritage Manor in Rice Lake.
She was born March 24, 1922 in Minneiska, MN to Frank and Susie (Applebee) Porter. Vivian attended school in Kellogg, MN. On May 4, 1940 she was married to Sullivan Trulson in Decorah, IA. They lived in Detroit and worked in the ammunition factories during the war. They moved to Rice Lake and built their home in 1942 and after her husbands death she moved to Mesa, AZ in 1994 and back to Rice Lake in 2002. Her hobbies were to sew lap robes, make quilts, rosemaling, music, crafts and traveling.
Vivian Trulson is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Emma & Dennis Lorentz of Cumberland, WI, Eleanore & Steve Beets of Klamath Falls, OR and Elaine & Ron Madison of Rice Lake, WI; a son, Edward Trulson of Hot Springs, AR; 4 grandchildren, Marty (Amy) Lorentz, Eric (Kari) Trulson, Ryan (Amber) Trulson and Lynnea (Brian) Forster; 6 great-grandsons; a brother, Willard Porter of Cumberland, WI; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sullivan Trulson in 1991; and a son, Eugene Trulson in 1959.
Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Rev. Donald Berry officiating, with interment in the Orchard Beach Cemetery on Wednesday, January 13th at 10:00 AM. Friends may call from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
