EHRICH, Henry "Bud"
(January 20, 1923 - January 13, 2010)
Henry “Bud” W. Ehrich, age 86, of Birchwood, WI died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, WI.

He was born on January 20, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Emma (Frese) Ehrich. Bud graduated from the Farragut High School in Chicago. He entered the US Army and served during World War II. He received a Purple Heart from injuries suffered during the Battle of the Bulge and was a Bronze Star recipient. Bud was married to June Krieg on June 1, 1946 in Chicago, IL. Bud worked in sales out of Chicago for the Burlington Northern Railroad for many years and retired in 1981. He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Birchwood, WI and volunteered at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake, and was active in the Kiwanis Club at Haugen, WI. Bud enjoyed fishing, reading, music and loved being in nature.

Bud Ehrich is survived by his wife, June Ehrich of Birchwood, WI; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine & Kevin Ploessl of Dalton City, IL and Ellen Ehrich & David Krapf of Chicago, IL; 4 step grandchildren; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Emma Ehrich; and a brother, Raymond Ehrich.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Birchwood, WI, Rev. Paul Oman officiating, with interment in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at Spooner, WI, where Military Rites will be accorded by the Birchwood American Legion Post. Friends may call from 10 - 11 AM Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
