Matthew B. Locke, age 45, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake.
Matthew was born to John and Berniece (Busch) Locke on October 3, 1964 in Rice Lake, WI. He attended St. Joseph School and then the Rice Lake High School graduating in 1983. He was then employed by Mastercraft Industries in Rice Lake for several years prior to attending Technical College majoring in Business Management. He then moved to Arizona where he was employed by the Princess Resort in Scottsdale, AZ in the Culinary Field. Matthew returned to Rice Lake in 1997 where he was employed again at Mastercraft Industries and McCain Foods. He loved all sports, politics, and cooking and loved having parties for family and friends.
Matthew Locke is survived by his mother, Berniece Locke of Rice Lake, WI; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Michael Locke of Rice Lake, WI, William & Karen Locke of Oshkosh, WI and Leonard Locke of Bruce, WI; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy M. & Mark F. Berg of Rice Lake, WI and Mary Locke of King, NC; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John Locke and a brother, Russell Locke.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals, Fr. James Powers officiating, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 - 8 PM Monday and 1 - 2 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
