Christopher R. Mattson, age 27, of Rice Lake, WI died Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
He was born March 15, 1982 to Ross and Maureen Mattson in St. Paul, MN. Christopher graduated from Cameron High School in 2000, worked at Mastercraft Industries for a year, was an EMT in Cumberland and attended WITC and Chippewa Valley Technical College in Law Enforcement. He worked as a Police Officer in Chetek and Balsam Lake, and at Indian John’s Tattoo Parlor in Barron. He was a beautiful artist and enjoyed woodcarving and writing.
Christopher Mattson is survived by a son, Chaz Mattson of Barron, WI; his parents, Ross & Maureen Mattson of Cameron, WI; a brother, Joseph Mattson of Tampa Bay, FL; maternal grandparents, Robert & Joanne Mulrennan of Wayzata, MN; paternal grandmother, Muriel Mattson of Apple Valley, MN; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roy Mattson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with interment in Nora Cemetery. Friends may call from noon - 2:30 PM Saturday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
