KUBIN, Arthur J.
(May 12, 1920 - February 20, 2010)
Arthur J. Kubin, age 89, of Rice Lake, WI passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at his home.

He was born May 12, 1920 to Joseph and Anna (Klasna) Kubin in Chicago, IL. After completing his education he worked as a Machinist in Chicago until entering the United States Navy during World War II. On September 4, 1943 he was married to Evelyn Keblusek in Chicago. After receiving an honorable discharge he returned to Chicago where he was employed as a Messenger for the Brinks Company for 25 years. They moved to Rice Lake, WI after his retirement in 1978. Arthur loved to fish, bowl, play horseshoes, dartball and make ice fishing jigs.

Arthur Kubin is survived by his wife, Evelyn Kubin of Rice Lake, WI; 2 sons, Arthur (Martha) Kubin Jr. of Chicago, IL and Ronald Kubin of Rice Lake, WI; 2 daughters, Joyce (John) Dziedzic of Downers Grove, IL and Kathy (Jerry) Wojtiuk of Darien, IL; 3 grandchildren, John Jirkovsky, Chad Wojtiuk and Lisa Jackson; 3 great-grandchildren, Abby & Natalie Jirkovsky and Gavinn Jackson. He was preceded in death by a grandson, David Madenis.

Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Fr. James Powers officiating. Interment will be 1:30 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery at Spooner, WI where Military Rites will be accorded by the State Honor Guard. Friends may call from 3 - 7 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.
