RICHTER, Helen L. (November 6, 1919 - February 22, 2010) Helen Richter, age 90, of Rice Lake, WI, passed away Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Rice Lake Convalescent Center. She was born on November 6, 1919 in Haugen, WI to Edward and Mary (Schweiger) Stodola. Helen was married to George Richter on April 20, 1937 in Rice Lake, WI. She owned and operated Country Antiques for over 31 years, and loved stripping and refurbishing her antiques. She also loved collectables, gardening her flowers and herbs and reading. Mrs. Richter is survived by a daughter, Mary Linda Halverson of Burlington, WI, 3 sons and daughters-in-law, George Jr. & Rita Ann Richter of Rice Lake, WI, Daniel Richter of Cambridge, WI and Ronald & Donna Richter of Michigan; many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Stodola of Sarona, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Richter Sr. in 1988; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne &Dave Scheurer; 2 sisters, Leona Owens and Josephine Stodola; and 3 brothers, Bernard, Lennie and John Stodola. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, February 25, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, Father James Powers officiating, with interment in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Rice Lake. Friends may call from 4 - 7 PM Wednesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and 1 hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
