Betty Whited, age 84, of Brill, WI, died Thursday, April 8, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
She was born on August 15, 1925 in Olney Springs, CO and graduated from the Kuna High School in Kuna, ID. Betty was married to Robert Whited on April 29, 1951 in Nampa, ID. They owned and operated the Brill Feed Mill and Whited’s Grocery Store in Brill for many years. She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide. She was a gardener, enjoyed quilting, reading and loved the current events. She was also a member of the Brill Sportsman Club and was active in the Brill Community Club. Betty loved going to the lake and spending time with her grandchildren.
Betty Whited is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janis & Jack Lapcinski of Rice Lake, WI; a son, Wesley Whited of Brill, WI; 6 grandchildren, Correen, Carri, Carla & Chris Schuebel and Chase & Kate Lapcinski; a great-grandson, Bodi Mullen; 3 sisters, Doris Cretney of Connecticut, Vell Frost of Ohio and Ruby Vogt of Oregon; 3 brothers, Paul Maucher of Idaho, Norman Maucher of New Mexico and Bob Maucher of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Whited on August 19, 1987; a daughter, Colleen Jacobson on January 24, 2010; and a brother, Jim Maucher.
Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brill, WI, with John Brunclik officiating. Friends may call from 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Church.
