KUTZ, Edwin H.
(September 10, 1922 - April 15, 2010)
Edwin H. Kutz, age 87, of Birchwood, WI, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the Dallas Care and Rehab at Dallas, WI.

He was born on September 10, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Adolph and Katie (Chonska) Kutz. Edwin entered the United States Air Force during World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was married to Shirley Eskiert on June 23, 1951 in Chicago. He was an electrician maintenance worker for many years. They moved to Birchwood, WI in 1979. He was an active member on the Birchwood School Board, an advocate for children and also active in AA as a sponsor and counselor.

Edwin Kutz is survived by 2 sons, John Kutz of Seattle, WA and Joseph Kutz of Shawano, WI; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane & Raymond Jilek of Birchwood, WI; 4 grandchildren, Sherisce & Eric (Kristi) Seelnacht and Michael & Amy Kutz; 2 great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Addison; 2 brothers, Adolph and Art Kutz; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Kutz on September 2, 2007 and 2 brothers, Alfred and Ray.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 19, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Birchwood, WI, Rev. Paul Oman officiating, with interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery where Military Rites will be accorded by the Birchwood American Legion Post. Visitation will be held from 2 - 4 PM Sunday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake and for 1 hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
