PROCHNOW, Ralph W. (August 17, 1913 - April 26, 2010) Ralph Prochnow, age 96, of Birchwood, WI, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. He was born on August 17, 1913 in Milwaukee, WI to Herman and Edith (Draves) Prochnow. Ralph worked as a painter for the Milwaukee County School Board for over 33 years. He was married to Mae Buth on October 17, 1973 in Waukegan, IL and they retired to Red Cedar Lake in 1978 and enjoyed everything that this area offered. Ralph loved feeding all the animals, golfing and the outdoors. Ralph Prochnow is survived by a daughter, Judy Mitchell of West Bend, WI; a stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Dawn & Tom Vonrosen of San Diego, CA; a stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Kyp & Deanna Buth of Germantown, WI; a granddaughter, Kimberly; 2 step granddaughters, Janalee and Amy; 2 step great-grandchildren, Zachary and Lauren; a sister and brother-in-law, Marian & Tony Neuser of Birchwood, WI. He was preceded in death by his wives, June and Mae Prochnow; and his parents, Herman and Edith Prochnow. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, May 7, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with Rev. Leila Haight officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service on Friday. Memorials to the Barron County Humane Society would be appreciated.
