WIENHOLZ, Evelyn "Peggy" Mae
(December 31, 1914 - May 26, 2010)
Evelyn “Peggy” Mae Wienholz, age 95, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at her home.

She was born December 31, 1914 to George and Alma (Erickson) Thiessen at Poynette, WI. Peggy graduated from Poynette High School; she later worked for Social Security while completing courses of study at Washington School of Law and obtained her Law Bar from Oregon State. She worked as a Broker in San Francisco, CA where she also completed an Accounting Course before settling in Modesto, CA then married George Wienholz with his 4 children in 1962. Peggy moved with daughter Deborah to Wisconsin 5 years ago. She was a member of he Utopian Women’s Group. Peggy and George traveled the entire world and has been on every continent.

Peggy Wienholz is survived by 2 stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Deborah & Richard Kreger of Rice Lake, WI and Lucinda & John Nemeskery of Orange Park, FL; 3 stepsons and a stepdaughter-in-law, George N. Jr & Nina Wienholz of San Rafael, CA, John & Chris Wienholz of Modesto, CA and Gary & Sandy Wienholz of Modesto, CA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Warren Thiessen of Poynette, WI and Clayton Thiessen of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, George N. Wienholz; her parents, George and Alma Thiessen; 4 sisters, Jean Reif, Arebel Slurry, Betty Blackley and Julie White; and 2 brothers, Sam and George Thiessen.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, with Rev. Bob Pittman officiating. Friends may call from 1 - 2 PM Tuesday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals. Burial at a later date in the Lowville Cemetery at Poynette, WI.
