HENSEL, Geraldine M. (May 17, 1930 - June 28, 2010) Geraldine M. Hensel, age 80, of Rice Lake, WI died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. Geraldine Hensel was born on May 17, 1930 in Barron, WI to Earl and Florence (Holmes) Tireman. Her mother died when Geraldine was 13 days old. She lived with different relatives until the age of 4 years when she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Albert “Jake” and Lavina Lieberherr. She attended Greenwood School until she began High School and graduated from Cameron High School in 1948. She worked in several area restaurants before working at Chetek Industries Cotton Products in Cameron and later Moore’s Foods in Rice Lake. Geraldine was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cameron. She loved to bake, cook, crafts, crocheting, and knitting, counted cross stitch and late in life she learned to TAT which she enjoyed. Geraldine Hensel is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Lee McClaine of Rice Lake, WI; grandson, Brent McClaine of Charleston, SC; granddaughter, Sara (Ken) Krieser and great-grandson, Cameron all of Oconomowoc, WI; a sister, Mildred Kroll of West Allis, WI; a half brother, Emil Tireman of Barron, WI; cousins, Ted and John Lieberherr; nieces, nephews, other cousins and relatives. Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Salem Lutheran Church in Barron, WI, Rev. Mueller officiating, with interment in the Wayside Cemetery in Barron. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 PM Thursday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, WI and for 1 hour prior to the funeral at the Church.
