DOSTAL, Joseph A.
(March 16, 1933 - December 23, 2012)
Joseph A. Dostal, age 79 of Rice Lake, WI died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Heritage Manor in Rice Lake.

He was born on March 16, 1933 in Rice Lake, WI to Joseph and Mary (Lustafka) Dostal. He dairy farmed in Stanfold and Bear Lake townships for many years. On August 22, 1956 he married Shirley Stoeklen in Dobie, WI. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing some of which he did on Lake Superior. He was a very talented man when it came to fixing and building things, he even had a patented conveyor door.

Joseph Dostal is survived by his wife, Shirley Dostal of Rice Lake, WI; 10 children, Deb Willger of Sarona, WI, David Dostal of Rice Lake, WI, Danny Dostal of Rice Lake, WI, Diane (Ted) Moravec of Sarona, WI, Donna Dostal of Rice Lake, WI, Doreen Saffert of Rice Lake, WI, Denise (Steve) Elfers of Cameron, WI, Dorothy (Sam) Pant of Hammond, WI, Daryl Dostal of Rice Lake, WI and Darlene (Steve) Mense of Cameron, WI; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Regina Brockman of Rice Lake, WI, Leona Didier of Spooner, WI and Fran Willger of Rice Lake, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Dostal; 2 brothers, Chuck and Norbert Dostal; 3 sisters, Rita Dostal, Marie Moravec and Veronica Michalski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rice Lake, WI, Fr. James Powers officiating, with interment in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 AM Wednesday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Appleyard's Home for Funerals, 19 W. Messenger St., Rice Lake, WI.
